Beginners Guide: Cooking Grilled Food Indoors

The concern for us modern men and women nowadays is healthy living. And of course, healthy living means a healthy diet. A lot of people are so concerned about diet, however there seems to be no escaping the bad cholesterol and calorie rich foods out there and even inside the kitchen. How can you avoid cholesterol when all you have is a frying pan? Fried food is notorious for its high cholesterol content.

Grilled food is perhaps the one good way to cut the fat. It is also one of the best ways to prepare foods because food turns out so great because it is packed with flavour. Not everyone concerned with their weight is likely to do a hundred and eighty degree turn to become vegetarians overnight. Grilling is perhaps the only option. But grilling is so hard because you have to set up the grill with the charcoal. Another concern is that food might taste plain and dry. If you are a beginner at indoor grilling, then this is also the best solution for you.

Fret no more because the newest generation of indoor grills attack these problems head on and have come up with a design that is fool proof. Have you ever heard of the George Foreman grill? It created a national rage a few years back. It really works well in cooking grilled foods indoors while looking the flavour inside the meat. The George Foreman grill is a contact folding grill. It has two cooking surfaces. These can fold on top of each other, sandwiching the food in between. Then it cooks both sides simultaneously.

This design makes it easy for anyone to use the folding grill. Both novices and grilling experts prefer to use this amazing type of indoor grill because of the ease and the fast cooking powers it posses.

For the novice, here are the things you need to remember when dealing with the indoor grill. First of all, it is an electrical appliance. A lot of indoor grill plates can be detached so you can wash it separately. Some grill plates just needs a good sponging and it is all set. Just remember not to immerse it in water.

As for beginners cooking tips, you just need a few pointers. First of all, you can either just add some spices and some salt in your meat then put it directly into the grill, or you can marinade it. Doesn’t sound complicated does it? In fact it is no different from basic grilling methods. The only difference is that you get to do it indoors without smoke.
